Landscape is a state of mind
Some places are an enigma, others an explanation.

A man without landscape is a man devoid of any resources.

May your path be winding, windy, lonely, dangerous and lead you to the most spectacular panorama.
Edward Abbey
I live by landscape, I recognize it as the source of my blood. It penetrates my eyes and increases my strength. Perhaps the reason for my travels around the world was nothing more than a search for landscapes, which functioned as powerful reminders.
Giovanni Comisso
I have reported the sentences above as mottos of my photography of landscapes, because they are words that fit perfectly with my way of being and photographing, of "going through landscapes", it is certainly my favorite genre of photography. I remember that since I was a child the landscape has always bewitched and enchanted me, when we went around, even during school trips, while all my classmates were singing, playing and joking noisily on the bus, I was silent, with my forehead pressed to the window, enchanted to observe the world that passed by outside before my eyes! Even today, like then, I have not lost the habit, and when I drive the car, my head is always tilted to the right or left in relation to the road!
Photography and landscape are a language that transcends words, every attempt to "explain" the landscape in words fails miserably in my opinion, because photography and landscape tell the inexpressible, the neffable, they tell about us, and go beyond that border between our inner world and the outer world: a good landscape photograph blends these two worlds together, and no words will ever be able to explain its essence. It is a symbolic and intuitive language, which "dies" if explained or rationalized, I therefore leave the word to the images, hoping they will be pleasant to you and communicate emotions to you.

The beauty of nature and the landscape are always a source of inspiration, contemplation and fullness. Seen live, these landscapes, these lines, these lights, one has the sensation of breathing them, of assimilating them, of amalgamating them with one's spirit, with one's essence, until one becomes part of it, as in a mirror of the soul, of the...

Nature and landscape have always been my favorite subjects, and it was in the woods and along the rivers that I took my first steps in the field of photography. When I became passionate about photography as a boy, but I still didn't have a driving licence, I wandered around the river that flows next to my town, to find subjects and inspirations, and I always looked curiously at those mountains that stood out on the horizon, with the dream of day of being able to reach them. It wasn't an unachievable dream, all you had to do was wait until you were old enough to get your driving licence! But even today, that array of rocky reliefs that frame the horizon of my town are like a powerful magnet for my soul! To tell the truth, even the river, even though I know it like the back of my hand, never ceases to surprise me and give me beautiful emotions, I think it's a love story!
Nature and landscape are fundamental components of myself, someone said that landscape is a state of mind, and I feel an integral part of Nature, of all its elements and its manifestations, I often seek complete, even intimate, contact with it, a regenerating source of strength and energy, physical and psychological.
Nature in its many manifestations is balm for the soul, regenerating and restoring that most primitive, primordial, wild and wild part that I carry inside, which I feel deeply mine, and which I could never give up.
Walk barefoot on the pebbles of the river, among the dry and fragrant leaves of the undergrowth, hug the trees and get lost in the forest, immerse yourself in the fresh and crystalline waters of the streams, let yourself be inebriated by the balsamic air of the forest and be enchanted by the evening lights : they are almost mystical, spiritual experiences, you truly feel the breath of the planet, you perceive the powerful and subtle presence of Mother Nature inside and outside of you, and sometimes you don't feel a border or distinction, you feel an integral part of all this.
Photography is an absolutely engaging way to live, research and tell these experiences, to try to share them, to try to convey something of these emotions and sensations, something profound, which goes beyond simple aesthetic and formal research, beyond technique and the compositional rules.
